First Product Video: Alligator Dicer

Posted by

We have so many neat gadgets and just fantastic products that I have to have, so I own about half the store at this point.  I have decided to begin sharing them with you via video so that you can see some of the magic.  This first product video is of the Alligator Dicer with Collector, which is new, so I tested it out for the first time with you in this video.  (Note: please disregard the ending of the video, I am new to creating videos and I couldn't cut the last few seconds).

As you can see in the video, this is my first time using the Alligator and it took a little practice to get the hang of the chopping part.  However, once I got used to it, dicing the rest of the onion was quick and easy.  I was very excited because I was able to cut the onion into smaller pieces than I normally can with a knife and it was faster too.  Unfortunately, there is no option for changing the width of the pieces you are cutting, but you can make either squares or sticks depending on how thick the cut of vegetable is that you put into the dicer.

I would also like the mention how easy this is to clean.  The top piece comes off and the collector disconnects so you are cleaning three separate pieces.  In addition, there is a built in cleaner piece that is designed to get all the small pieces out of the grooves of the lid (which you can see in the following pictures).  Even better, if you don't want to do all that clean up work, it is dishwasher safe as well.

Following, you will see a few pictures of everything that happened after the video:

This is the whole onion after it was all chopped up, but before I took it out of the Alligator Dicer with Collector.

.

These two pictures show the onion after I dumped it from the Alligator Dicer with Collector into my All-Clad 8" Non-Stick Frypan.

These final two pictures show how easy the Alligator Dicer with Collector was to clean because it comes apart in several places to allow you to really get into its nooks and crannies.

I would like to end this blog entry with a "shout out" to all of the products I used last night...
